Daruma

Daruma sushi was recommended to me by the taxi driver as this is where all the locals go. If you have the time and cab fare, go to Numazu but otherwise, locally this is where to go. There were 3 people at the counter when I entered, all local. The second you sit down, he just serves you until you raise your hand. The quality is a 100. He's a funny guy with lots of stories. The locals are also very kind with many stories... Apparently this neighborhood was known for the Geisha houses and bath houses back in the day. His English is broken but you'll be fine. He is the fastest itamae I've seen thus far.
